TRAD ARR
Steer The Horses(2002)

The third set of Trad Arr recordings were marked by the departure of former Slow Invasion guitarist Paul Gillings. Paul was a superb guitarist who had been playing intricately weaving guitar patterns for over twenty years. It was therefore felt by the rest of the band he would be best employed in Trad Arr as a drummer as he had never played the drums before in his life. No one likes a smartarse. Gillings became unhappy during the sessions as the rest of the band were avid cigarette fans and he had been desperately trying to give up smoking. Soon after the last track was recorded and he got up saying "I'm just popping out for some fresh air" and he was never seen again. Tragic really as soon after he left, the rest of the band gave up smoking as well .
Highlights of the set are 'Unfunky Town', a song about trying to get out of any town you were born in, and 'Steer The Horses', a song which explains itself over and over again. Trad Arr at their inert best.
