Born The Wrong End Of The London Road
Trad Arr were formed in 1999, two years after Crawl had imploded and a void needed filling in the sad lives of the Essex 'Lost Boys'. Richard Golding was going through his on going series of brain operations that would make him grumpy for the next few years, Michael Golding was chugging away at becoming a second hand car salesman & Paul Warwick was perfecting his flannel statues. Meanwhile, Andy Golding was discovering the art of lying. Formed as a direct reaction to increasing pub prices, Trad Arr have since redefined the term 'inertia'. Despite recording 6 'albums' over the following 6 years, they have still only played a handful of gigs.
This is their debut offering, 'Cancel Out Gravity' which was recorded on an 8-Track machine in a furniture warehouse in Essex, transferred to ADAT and then transported to Chicago where the album was mixed by former Wolfhounds bass player and Jazz Butcher partner in crime Martin Stebbings. The original CDR run of this album sold out very quickly and it has been unavailable until now.
The mix of violins and distorted keyboards is a sound that Trad Arr would return to time and again, but here for the first time is your chance to hear their debut album in its entirety. Who knows, maybe one day they will even get out of their cellar and play live for us all.
