DOWNLOAD NEW TRAD ARR TRACK

 'TALK TO ELVIS'

Mixing started on new Trad Arr album. Should be finished by late February and released soon thereafter. We are hoping to get a double 'A' sided 7" vinyl single out as well so watch this space. Mark Cottrell is now entrenched in the mix and a couple of Marks songs will be on the album. This will be the first album to use my new Strat/Banjo crossbread that Paulie and myself have invented. I've christened it my 'Stranjo' and it allows me to play tenor banjo tunings on a Strat. If anyone would like to buy one then let me know. I will not sleep until Stranjo's  rule the world. I also have an acoustic version which is called an 'Acousticanjo'. That rocks as well.

Mikey Boy is currently on his 'Take The Guitar To The Bar' tour in the far east and is spreading the word.

If anyone wants The Wolfhounds to play at C86 gig's then contact me at tradarr@flfl.net

We're up for anything.

Check out the video clip of the  Trad Arr New Year bash. As Mikey Boy was out of town I got the Boychild to play keyboards for us.

Check out the new Doctor Fuzzynoise Music Therapy page. It may help

PAUL CANNELL - RIP

PAUL CANNELL, the artist famous for his work with PRIMAL SCREAM and MANIC STREET PREACHERS, has committed suicide.

The east London artist was living and working in Cornwall until recently and also released a single with his band
Crawl through Creation in 1996.

Cannell created the distinctive images for the covers of ’Screamadelica’, ’Higher Than The Sun’ and
’Don’t Fight It Feel It’ by Primal Scream as well as the ’You Love Us’ and ’Stay Beautiful’ singles by
Manic Street Preachers.

He also designed the sleeve for Flowered Up’s ’Phobia’ and the Heavenly record label’s bird logo

" PLANT A TREE 73. PLANT SOME MORE 74 "

"GONE TO SEED" - New Album Now available

Gone To Seed has been on the playlist for a couple of months now and this is an acknowledgement of the pleasure given by it, extreme banjo and all. High points are the strong melodies and lyrics that stick in the mind, and their use of banjo and violin in a semi punked up context. Not too sure about the recording quality in that the drums sound a bit harsh on some tracks and there's an occasional 'recorded in the front room' feel. And surely 'Hey Fat Banker' should be the opener? (Get used to it - change the title of the CD if you have to).

My copy has a not-so-hidden track (at least I assume that this is the track that's not listed) which I dismissed at first as 'Half-Life in the Bush of Ghosts' but dammit it's annoyingly addictive and now gets played on its own. Still not too sure whether it sits right with the rest of the record, though. Other favourites are Bury Steal or Borrow, and Rocking Chair.

After about the second or third play through I thought it ought to be sent to Kershaw in the hope of getting a slot on one of his sessions. I still think this – Trad Arr sound like a band that needs to be live, and I think the overall sound and concept is right up Mr Kershaw's street.

Chris  - Cambridge 2004

Just wanted to say what a blast your album is; creating sonic cathedrals from glistening shards of feedback etc. etc... honest, it's really good, even got a good review from the boys down South over the weekend, and believe me, they're hard to please.  I found out when I got back I had 2 copies in my bag, so let me know how much I owe you.

Phil - London 2004

Hello,

Searching "Silent House" of this girl, can you help me ?

Greetings,   Marc  (Belgium) 2004

Thanks to...

Cannell. Too rock'n'roll for fuzz skiffle.

Andy Royston - Too busy to complain, to young to moan.

Frank - You really should eat Less.

Jan - For putting up with the noise.
